Julie

I was born and raised in Southern California and my love for animals started at a young age. Growing up I volunteered in a public education and animal care role with abused farm animals. I made the move to Oregon in 2021 for college, where I attended Oregon State University. During college I was able to work in a wildlife rehabilitation center with injured and sick native Pacific Northwest species. Working with these patients gave me a deeper understanding of the way animals respond to and experience pain and illness. I graduated in 2025 from Oregon State University with a degree in Zoology and made the move to Portland.

I joined the Northwest Neighborhood Veterinary Hospital as a Client Care Coordinator in September of 2025. I spend a lot of my free time with my 3-year-old rescue dog, Azula. When we’re not at the park chasing squirrels, I love trying new food, exploring nature with friends, and listening to good music.
