After graduating from the The University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010, I began my career with an intensive rotating surgical and medical internship at VCA Alameda East in Denver, Colorado, which set the foundation of my dedication to the highest quality of care for the pets and people I help.
I then served as a general practitioner and on-call emergency veterinarian against the stunning backdrop of the Tetons in Jackson, Wyoming. The call of milder climates (and fewer moose-on-dog attacks) led me to Portland in 2013, where I initially worked as an emergency and critical care veterinarian at VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists. This challenging experience offered me the chance to deepen my knowledge and expertise by collaborating with a diverse array of veterinary specialists, providing care to some of the most complex medical and surgical cases in the area.
Inspired to find a professional home where I could continue to provide top notch care to patients during more reasonable hours, I joined Northwest Neighborhood Veterinary Hospital in October 2017. Since then, I have been a dedicated part of the care team, sharing my comprehensive skill set in areas including routine preventative medicine, complicated chronic disease management, emergency medicine, soft tissue and oral surgery, and hospice/end of life care.
In addition to working directly with patients, I am devoted to supporting the local professional veterinary community here in Portland. I am an active member of the Portland Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA) where I served as a board member from 2017 to 2021, and as board president from 2020 to 2021.
With a heart for healing, attention to detail, and compassion, I am committed to providing excellent veterinary care to the animals I work with and their human companions.
I live in Northwest Portland with my husband Matt, two very energetic and spirited boys, and a loyal (albeit barky) dog named Bourbon. Beyond work, I enjoy snowboarding, perfect Portland summers, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
